Performance Review of Life?

For today's assignment, I want you to mull over a few thought-provoking questions:

  • Would you be proud of your achievements and the way you conducted yourself in this lifetime?
  • Would you leave knowing that you touched the lives of many?
  • Would you be content not having the chance to come back and right your wrongs?
  • Have you forgiven everyone that needs to be forgiven?
  • Have you provided service to others and offered selfless acts of kindness?
  • Have you led by example?
  • Have you left a positive impact on the Earth?
  • Do you love everyone unconditionally?
  • Do you spread joy and love or chaos and fear?
  • Have you touched the lives of others?
  • Have you taught others the beneficial lessons that you have learned in your life?

Take a moment to assess your performance in your current lifetime.  Think about the things in your life for which you are proud, and think of the others where you feel you need improvement.  I encourage you to leave a comment if you want to share your personal thoughts (yes, it can be anonymous!)  My improvement areas include “providing service to others” and “improvement on my communication skills/sharing my own truth”.   Hmm – that’s the purpose of my blog – so I guess I’m on the right track!

  1. Hi, I just saw you on Suzanne Lie's board, and I wanted to wave at you. This is all new to me, but wow things are happening so fast. I am very grateful for Suzanne's insights. Those are good questions you ask above. As a college professor I can say that that is an ENTIRE research paper assignment, so I might not finish right away. I would love for you to blog about meditation and multiconsciousness communication exercises. Now that is a classroom that I find myself feeling like a REMEDIAL LEARNER!
    love today,
    Yvonne

  2. Hi Yvonne! Thanks so much for your interest. I do appreciate the information Suzanne shares. Isn't she the greatest? I am glad my blog entry sparked some inner contemplation. We could all use some, couldn't we? I do have some upcoming blog posts that do touch on the subject of meditation and "multiconsciousness". The quick and easy answer is that meditation is as easy as stopping all thought and quieting the mind. Well, I guess it's not THAT easy is it? But each person can develop his or her own technique. Some people like to visualize a quiet little sanctuary where they imagine themselves surrounded by tranquility (I like this approach and do this sometimes!) Other times, I just close my eyes and take several deep breaths and quiet my mind. If I am seeking answers or guidance, I'll ask. Otherwise, I am just open to whatever comes - if anything. Many of my experiences occur in the dream state at night when consciousness is at its "deepest" level, and I can't really control those! I like your suggestion, though, and I'll post additional info on meditation (and connecting to higher selves) techniques, resources, etc. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts! It's great to meet you!
